This sentence was written before 2003...



In Color Walk 2 (published in 2003), Oda had mentioned that there was a war going on in the North Blue since the last 40 years. Pirates were often hired by nations to fight against other nations.

Maybe it had something to do with the "underworld of North Blue" Rocinante mentioned in chapter 765 and the Vinsmoke family.
